I finally managed to watch Star Trek Nemesis again, after two and a half years since it was released in the theatres. It actually was lot more enjoyable watching the movie now since I had a better appreciation of the finer details. Namely, I got to see Wil Wheaton, a.k.a. Wesley Crusher, in the movie.
I was on the look out for Wheaton this time around. I didn’t even know he was on there till I read his book, Just a Geek, last month. Unfortunately, his big scene got cut out of the movie and he ended up being like another extra in the movie. From what he said in the book, I was actually surprised to see a lot of him in the movie. But yes, I did see him… and so can you!

That was probably the best shot of him in the movie. You know, being part of the movie is a big deal to Wil. You can even read what he says about it here.
But seeing Star Trek: Nemesis wasn’t just about Wil Wheaton. It was about getting back in touch with what I loved most as a kid, namely Star Trek! There’s just so much to love about Star Trek! From the battle scenes to the dialogue they use. C’mon how can you not get goose bumps from something like phrases like “positronic matrix” or “fire all phasers and photon torpedo banks”??
The only problem now is that there’s nothing new to watch anymore. Honestly, after Voyager, I’ve completely lost interest in Star Trek. Star Trek: Enterprise just sucked. I couldn’t really get into it except for the second to the last season. Is it possible that 28 years from now a new Star Trek series will to pop up? Maybe. God, I’d be 51 by then! But imagine how much cooler Star Trek could be 28 years from now. Just imagine.
