Found this while I was packing up some stuff.

It’s from the October 2001 Vanity Fair issue. Boy how time flies.

First heard about Equus and Mr. Potter’s birthday suit debut from Al Lowe a while ago and haven’t thought of it much since… till today. Towleroad posted promotional pictures of Equus. My goodness Mr. Potter, I can’t wait to see you wave that wand of yours this summer!

I just saw Volver the other day and it was awesome! It has a lighter feeling than his previous movies but it was still great. I was going through my blog and found out that I first mentioned Volver more than a year ago. It’s amazing how long it took for the movie to get here! I can’t wait for the next one. No idea yet what it is, but I’ll be checking out Pedro’s IMDB page constantly.
Yesterday I decided to check out some Almodóvar DVDs because, surprisingly, I don’t have any. It turns out they’re releasing a box set of 8 of his movies under the name Viva Pedro. To bad it’s going to be released on June, but I’ve already pre-ordered it. Here’s a little trailer below just to give you an idea of what’s included in the boxed set.
Anyway enough Almodóvar. So on Saturday after watching the movie, we headed over to Hamburger Mary’s. Honestly, I think it’s going to close down soon. There’s like no one there! But whatever, we had a good time. I had a beer and Joyce, et al. ordered a Climax (whatever that is) and a Screaming Orgasm for me. I can remember Joyce asking the waiter “Can you get him (me) a Climax and a Screaming Orgasm?” To which I quickly replied, “She means the drink!”
My tolerance is so low for alcohol, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing since I don’t have to buy a lot of drinks to get drunk. After the beer and the other 2 drinks I was pretty much out of it. I remember going to the bathroom and screaming “Fuck!” because I couldn’t find the sink. Hey, at least I still had the decency to wash my hands after going to the loo.
Now for your apartment update. We got the keys on Saturday morning and moved some stuff right away. Sunday, we spent a while in Ikea looking for furniture. We planned on getting just a sofa, but ended up picking a coffee table, a buffet table, and 2 computer desks as well. However, we only took home one computer table and the buffet table since my car was too small to fit everything. We’ll come back next weekend for the rest.
Sunshine. What a great movie. That movie just leaves you with such a nice feeling inside. I feel all warm and fuzzy now. ^^
Anyway we get the keys to the new apartment tomorrow. I think we’re just going to move a few boxes and probably do a lot more on Sunday. I gotta get my haircut tomorrow then meet up with the gang later in the day. Amazingly Volver is showing in Irvine! It’s so cool that there are two indie theatres over here: 1 by UCI and the other at Alton. The plan is to watch Volver at night then head over to Hamburger Mary’s afterwards. A good movie and hopefully a good meal.. should be fun! Call/email if you wanna come!
This week is turning out to be pretty good. So many good things happening right now you know. Though there was that time I had to work till 330am last night but that was surprisingly fun also. Mike and I headed over to Curry House to meet up with Joyce, Juno and Jan for dinner. Afterwards, we headed back to work and finished some stuff off. Then around 10.45 we had this urge to go out and look for something to eat again. Wienerschnitzel was already closed so we decided to walk to Diedrich’s… but when we got there they were also closed. But hey it was just nice walking around the area around 11pm when no one else is around. After that, we just went back to the office and finished even more stuff. ahh what fun.
Well time to get some sleep. Need to be ready for the big day tomorrow!
I can’t believe I forgot! François Ozon has a new movie coming out! You know, the guy who made those classic hits, Swimming Pool and 8 Femme! Anyway it’s called Time to Leave, and it looks like one of those really touching movies. Oh here’s the trailer: click!

On a completely different note, I have this sudden urge to buy a vacuum cleaner.
