I thought i wasn’t going to post today but it’s 12.40am and I’m still awake chatting with our Indian group. I really haven’t felt like posting these past couple of days. Either I’ve gotten lazy or just felt like I had other stuff to do.

Anyway, this weekend has really been a bummer. Juno and I bombed at badminton last Saturday. Really pissed me off.. it’s stupid that I really felt like quitting afterwards but now I just want to practise some more. We really need to find a badminton court to practise in, instead of some stupid tennis court. It’s like when I step on the badminton court something just switches off in my brain, I get nervous, I choke, etc.. and then just play horribly.

Sunday, Juno called asked if I wanted to watch Serenity but since I wanted to watch that and Wallace and Gromit and they didn’t, I just passed. I ended up spending the whole day playing Paper Mario.

BTW, on Saturday I was by Edwards University Cinemas and found out this gay flick was playing over there, called Dorian Blues. Al Lowe is probably rolling his eyes by now, but it looks interesting. Now your usual gay movie crap that I’ve seen recently. It’s a coming out story but from the trailer it doesn’t look like your conventional coming out story, you know? But as with most movies that show up on Edwards University, by the time I actually have time to watch the it, the movie has long gone away. Anyway, here’s the poster if anyone is interested.

Dorian Blues poster

What’s funny is that I was just walking poast the theatre when I saw the poster and read “school’s out and so is dorian” and it hit me.. “omg this is a gay movie. it’s a gay movie which I totally didn’t know about!” Actually the title first caught my eye because I like the name Dorian. I totally would name my kid Dorian (if I ever had one).

Well that’s all for now… well 1 last thing.. brokeback mountain is out in two months! woohoo! And another thing.. I wanna thank neozerneozero for telling me about Mac on the web (http://www.yanathin.com/ifizzle.html).

g’night

So Jan finally turns 21 today! Happy Birthday! It’s time to bring out the traditional birthday donut again.

Happy Birthday Jan

Speaking of donuts, doesn’t anyone miss Dunkin’ Donuts?? ugh i’m so hungry. I didn’t have any dinner cause there’s nothing to eat at home and I’m too lazy to go out. =(

So mañana I’ll be heading out to LA to have dinner with all the J’s (Joyce, Juno, Jan). Considering it’s Jan’s 21st we’ll be hitting WeHo to get him wasted. woohoo! I should bring my camera.. hehe.

Drinking is out of the question for me since I’m not gonna sleep over at Jan’s love shack becuase his mommy is there. Besides last time I got drunk I had the worst hangover so I don’t mind staying away from the alcolici. Also Juno and I are gonna go to the badminton club on Saturday so we need to be ready for that. Heck we’ve been practising for the past 3 or 4 weeks, so I hope we actually get to beat someone this time. If not I might as well quit badminton.

Bleu Title

In other news, I finally got to see Krzysztof Kieslowski’s Bleu (trailer) last Saturday. I’ve been looking forward to this movie for quite some time now but was surprised as to how good the movie was when I finally got to see it. It’s about this woman, played by Juliette Binoche, who loses her entire family in a car crash. She loses her family at the start so the most of the movie is spent following Juliette’s character as she tries to separate (or liberate) herself from the people close to her so that she doesn’t have to lose anyone important again.

The movie really is genious you know… it’s almost like reading poetry. It’s great just watching it and taking it for what it is, but gets even better once you realise how everything ties in together and figure out what Kieslowski is trying to say.

Luliette Binoche in Bleu

Juliette is amazing in this movie. She was able to convey so much emotion without saying so much you know. Come to think of it, yeah there really wasn’t much talking.. it might turn off some of you guys but you shouldn’t let that deter you.

Bleu is actually the first part of Kieslowski’s triology, Trois Couleurs. Blanc and Rouge are the two other films.. no surprise there. I can’t wait for Blanc! It was supposed to arrive today but I guess it got lost somewhere along the way :-(

Does anyone ever watch this show on MTV? I cannot believe the people on that show. It’s not the fact that they’re super rich but it’s cause they’re such skanky bitches (even the guys!). It’s just pathetic and plain tacky how they all try to flaunt how rich they are and how much they want to be envied. “oh i spent $100K plus and my party is gonna be the best in town!” what’s sad is that they spend so much money and the party does not look impressive at all… again tacky is what comes to mind.

Now if you watch that show you should know this bitch. She’s probably the worst out of the whole lot

Bitch

OMG I don’t know what I’d do if she ever come from my loins. LoL. seirously there must be a word worse than bitch to describe her! If she was my daughter I would probably disown her. I never said I’d be a good parent. ;-) Actually it’d be better if she wasn’t my daughter, at least that way I can smack her and hopefully knock some sense into her. Who here wishes that one classmate of hers, who didn’t get invited, beat the crap out of her? me me me!!

But you know, the one thing I love about this show is how I’m reminded that money does not buy class.

So today is September 30 or at least it will be for another 14 minutes. That means today was the grand opening of the Nordstrom at the Irvine Spectrum. It also means that it’s time for your trusty guide, Mr. Fry, to take you to Nordstrom. Actaully, Juno suggested that we eat at Nordstrom’s Café Bistro today. Unfortunately, that was a big mistake because Nordstrom’s opening actually drew in crowds, unlike the grand opening of the new parking structure. :-(

Let’s start off with the parking. It was a bitch. Just way too many cars around the Nordstrom area.

Nordstrom Parking

So here’s Mr. Fry’s Spectrum insider tip #1. Park in the new north parking structure. People are idiots and would rather struggle to park close to the department store than to walk a couple more metres.

Fucking people don’t have nothing better to do than go to the mall! Mr Fry’s Spectrum insider tip #2. Screw the mall. There’s always something better to do than to go to the mall.

Nordstrom Crowd

Come to think of it, we didn’t really do much at Nordstrom’s. haha.. we went inside, saw there was a line for Café Bistro then decided to go to another place for lunch. Before I forget, I saw the the saddest thing over there!

Nordstrom Model

Yeah, that’s a fucking live male model! Boy he sure has gotten far with his career.. I mean how pathetic is that?? It was so sad cause he would strike a couple of poses and everyone would just walked past by him trying to ignore him. Of course I didn’t ignore him. I had to take a picture for this stupid site.. haha. Man the things I do for the sake of journalism. I could just imagine him killing his agent when the day is over. Mr Fry’s Spectrum insider tip #3. Give him a tip. He might just do a little strip tease for you. C’mon he must be desperate for money!

Anyway, with our lunch plans screwed up, I suggested we go to Wahoo’s but seeing there was a line for that one too and another line for Corner Bakery we decided to go to the food court. Now is it any surprise that I had this for lunch??

McD hamburger

If you’re going “huh?” then let me refresh your memory.

Carl's Jr whip it out

Carl's Jr eat it

mmm… probably the best hamburger I ever had.
